Dr. Perkins leads all clinical and therapeutic operations at Human Longevity Inc. Previously he was EVP at Vanguard Health Systems, which he helped change from a traditional fee for service healthcare model, to a fee for value, “population health” model. He began his career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where he conducted translational research leading to the development of new bacterial meningitis and pneumonia vaccines. In 2001 he led the CDC investigations into the anthrax attacks in the United States. In 2005 he was appointed CDC’s Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer and built a $2 billion state-of-the-art emergency response capability.
